Paintings made personal

If you like my painting style but can't find an Available Work that suits your needs, I provide a commission service. For a slightly higher investment, you'll receive a painting that is more personal, geared toward your idea, and something to treasure for a lifetime.
I've been commissioned to paint someone's favorite flowers, a personal portrait, a cherished pet portrait, a cityscape of sports stadiums, a client's farmhouse and barn, and more. All work is executed with high quality stretched linen canvas and I use only traditional archival oil paints, medium, and varnish.
My commission process is fairly simple and is designed to minimize the client's time while maximizing the results. First, I offer a no obligation consultation where we can discuss your objectives and budgets. Based on our discussions, I’ll formulate a proposal. After agreeing on the scope and quote, the painting will progress in four stages, 1) Drawing, composition, and construction (Initial Approval) 2) Color block-in 3) Color modeling 4) Finishing details (Final Approval).
Commission Fees: Please use the contact form on this site or email me to describe your idea. I will follow up by emailing an updated rate sheet and then call you to schedule our initial consultation.
Commission Client Testimonial

Montauk Daisies (Sold), 2009, Oil on Canvas, 12 x 16"
(Signed and dated lower left - Harding 09')
"JT has the innate ability to find the beauty in simple things. When I commissioned Montauk Daisies, he exceeded my expectations. As a result, I have commissioned a second painting, Sun and Sand. His creations are expressive and the personal touch he delivers make them unique."
